Mike Barrett

Mike has over 12 years experience in designing, building and delivering on-line publishing systems for both commercial and customer publishers.

With real world experience in on-line product development, Mike provides consultancy to publishers on all aspects of web publishing including content strategy, architecture, design, search, ad serving and user generated content.

At CNET (now CBS Interactive), Mike’s team created some of the most sophisticated publishing sites on the web including cnet.co.uk, silicon.com and the award winning ZDNet.co.uk.

Since starting Compound Media in 2006, Mike has consulted for some of the best known brands in the UK including: -

  • Marks and Spencer

and many more including the award winning NSPCC site “Your family“.

Mike has built Compound Media into a respected partner in the customer publishing industry with an impressive network of specialist resources.

Mike is an active board member for the charitable event Byte Night where each year the technology industry sleeps out to raise money for Action for children, the leading children’s charity.
